Haas DC-4/40 – Gantry Mill for Long Parts and Intensive Production
The DC-4/40 is the largest of the DC series gantry drilling and tapping machines, designed for machining long, narrow parts and high-volume production. With an impressive 2500 mm of X-axis travel, the machine can precisely machine parts over 2.5 m long and up to 0.5 m wide.
The gantry-type spindle head moves in the X and Z axes, while the table is supported along its full length in the Y axis, providing excellent stability and rigidity even under heavy loads. The DC-4/40 comes standard with a 10,000-rpm 40-taper spindle and a 20-station high-speed tool changer. Optional 12,000-rpm and 15,000-rpm spindles are also available for further productivity enhancements.
The machine is ideal for use in the construction, automotive and aerospace industries, enabling efficient processing of long profiles, extrusions, steel channels, angles and pipes.
